23-3-24 After the disappointment of the handicap final, just what the doctor ordered, an 8-1 win against Collingham A. This win has moved the team to third and secured their place in division 2 for next year. Well done.
20-3-24 Unfortunately our league success didn't follow through to the handicap final as our A team lost to Castleford Wanderers B. There were some great games but the handicap proved too much to overcome. Well done everyone, keep smiling.
16-3-24 A fabulous result for our A team last night beating Pontefract C 9-0. This was a night when all of the three enders went our way. Great result, well done to all who played.

3-2-24 Our B team played Castleford Wanderers B last night in a double header; the semi final of the handicap and their league match at the same time. Despite a really good and gritty performance they lost the handicap by 3.5 points and the league match 4-5. So close, well played everyone
31-1-24 Our B team are getting closer to their first win only loosing to the division leaders 4-5. Well done everyone, that first win isn't far away.
31-1-24 Another good performance for our A team, so near to another win. The match was only marred by Amy's injury which was more severe than originally thought; get better soon Amy. Thanks to Katie for filling in and well done for wining the last ladies doubles.
25-1-24 A 7-2 win for our A team against Collingham last night was fantastic and secures them a mid table place in division 2, what a great position to be in at this stage of the season.
8-1-24 Congratulations to Katie for passing the Badminton England Foundation Award in Coaching Badminton last weekend. The foundation course assesses peoples skills/ability to support coaching sessions. Katie now joins Mark, who qualified last year, which demonstrates the commitment the club has to growth and development. If she is still smiling on Friday night, you will know why!!
7-1-24 A great win by our B team beating Wrenthorpe B in the handicap competition. Well done everyone, the new kit looks good!
Our A team match against Wrenthorpe A was two in one. The match counted towards the league and handicap. We won the handicap by 47.5 points but lost the league match 6-2 with the third mens being unfinished (mind you we were leading 16-10 in the last rubber). Well done everyone the result doesn't truly reflect the closeness of the match.
13-12-23 Our A team won their first match of the season last night, and what an emphatic win it was. A 9-0 win against Pontefract C showed great resilience with some close rubbers. Well done everyone and thanks to Katie and Robbie for playing. Wrenthorpe next on Friday at John Smeatons, let's make it two wins in a week.
25-11-23 The Club Tournaments ended with Katie and Bev winning the Ladies doubles and Subho and Alec the men's doubles. An enjoyable evening only marred by Vikram's injury

8-10-2023 - Our A team played Morley on Friday and, while playing very well, they lost 8-0 with one rubber unplayed. Most of the rubbers were close and, with a little more luck, could have picked up 3 rubbers. Their next match is against Rothwell A at QUEG's on Wednesday 3rd November.
